We Make Learning Fun & Dynamic

After private classes with Zafirah I've learnt how to freestyle, do backstroke and tumbleturns as an adult. The classes are personalised with very friendly and professional instructors. Unlike many other schools, the instructors will get in the pool with you to demonstrate technique and personally assist with tricky manoeuvres. I highly recommend The Starting Block for beginners or anyone looking to polish their technique 👍
Zafirah has been coaching my 5yo for a year now and my daughter looks forward to her weekly lessons. Zaf is always smiley, punctual and responsive. She tailors her class according to the student and finds new ways to engage young minds, keeping the lesson interesting for them. I also love how she reviews kiddo's progress at the end of each class so we know what to expect.
Adult Private Lesson
I used to have phobia of water before having swimming lessons with the Starting Block. Now I gained so much water confidence. Zafirah is very friendly and caring. She makes sure to teach all the basics for new swimmers and build the foundation well
We are really happy with The Starting Block. Our son (5) was quite scared of swimming but Coach Zafirah helped him overcome his fear. She is the best kids swimming coach we have found in Singapore.
My child was rather afraid of water when we first started the swimming class. Through the dedication and patience of the amazing coaches, he is now able to swim with confidence. They know when to push and when to hold back, uses mixture of fun activities and friendly competition to make it exciting for the kids.
Coach Zafirah is outstanding with kids. She handles them well and makes each lesson enjoyable. My daughter and her best friend have been with her for almost a year and they look forward to each lesson every week.
